Scott Ford is proud to serve his community as Economic Development Director of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership, a non-profit 501(6) property-based improvement district in the heart of California’s capital city.
He has served previously as the District Director of the Old Sacramento Waterfront where we worked closely with the 130+ locally owned small businesses to foster a highly collaborative environment and supported the development of strategic partnerships geared towards enhancing the guest experience and building value through principles of place-based economic development.
Prior to these roles, Scott served as the Placemaking Manager with the Midtown Association where he was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Community Partner Award by the Midtown Neighborhood Association and helped establish Midtown Parks, a 501©3 foundation to support the vitality of urban green spaces. After studying Business and Construction Management at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, Scott in a variety of roles in small business management and founded a creative content business in 2011. He returned to his hometown of Sacramento in 2015 motivated to contribute to the momentum of downtown following the decision to invest in the Golden 1 Center development and has a passion for supporting the creation of more livable, sustainable, and equitable communities.
