Design Ethics: Uncovering the “Why” of Design

Written By Hannah Risser-Sperry | Dec 1, 2017

While the majority of the designers, design departments, and agencies outline a baseline set of principles to align their design decisions, many disregard the ethical aspect of their solutions. What is the purpose or influence your solution will have on the user ecosystem?

Grab free food and drinks as we discuss moving beyond the “how” and “what” of design and onto the “why.” We will share what we’ve learned so far, perform practical exercises, and provide useful resources for further information. Attendees will get a small present at the end!

This will be the first out of a series of events planned for 2018 that revolve around codes of ethics, sustainability, accessibility, inclusiveness, and more.

Leading the presentation and discussion is Andrii Glushko, Associate Design Director, North America. Andrii is a HFI Certified Usability Analyst, with nearly 10 years of experience in human-centered interface design. Focusing on problem solving, he covers full cycle interaction design and experience strategy for both B2C and B2B products and services.
