PechaKucha: The Past is Present

Written By | Apr 10, 2019

Springtime seems to embody both the past and present at once. Quiet trees bloom again, new ideas grow out of the silence. Somehow things are different and yet we have been here before.

For Volume 29 we ask our audience and speakers, where does the past appear in your present life? How does the past guide or shape your life today?  What things from the past would you love to bring back to life? What things from the past can we heal?

From restored structures to renewed musical styles and through the lessons of history and the promise of a better tomorrow, our speakers will move us through time, looking backwards and forwards. We hope folks are inspired to call in the past as a way to guide us forward, to create anew, to illuminate the work that is still before us.
