Scent as Creative Practice (for beginners)

Written By Hannah Risser-Sperry | May 24, 2019

Curious about working with scent in the context of your creative practice? Always wanted to learn how to make perfume, but didn’t know where to start? IAO founder Saskia Wilson-Brown has got you AMPLY covered.

Join us for a 2 hour exploration of the basics of scent with an emphasis on storytelling. This session is designed for beginners to learn about working with scent as part of their creative practice. Class will cover the history of perfumery, the contemporary industry, and focus on experimental practices and storytelling. Get the basics while smelling (and discussing) a curated selection of molecules – using the story of Baba Yaga and Vassilisa the Fair as a throughline.
