Mathys+Potestio, a pioneer in creative staffing, continues growth by opening Los Angeles office.
Portland, Ore. – Mathys+Potestio, a creative and marketing industry staffing firm, today announced that they’ve opened a Los Angeles location. Helmed by Jackie Mathys and Steve Potestio, Mathys+Potestio’s primary service offerings emphasize temporary staffing and recruiting for full-time positions, focusing on the creative and technology sectors.
We are excited to be part of the Los Angeles creative community, and our company values have been well received.

Flavia Arsenault, who has led Mathys+Potestio’s business relationship with Nike, Inc. for the last two years, will manage the company’s Los Angeles business.

About Jackie Mathys and Steve Potestio
Jackie launched and ran Protem Staffing’s successful creative division in the late 1990’s, and later became a partner in Mathys McLeod Creative Staffing. In 2002, she began headhunting and placing creative standouts as Jackie Mathys Studio Staffing. Prior to creative staffing, Jackie was a freelance copywriter for the action sports industry and a staff writer and editor at POWDER Magazine. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University Fullerton.
Steve Potestio has been in the creative industry for over 25 years. He has launched three successful businesses focusing on creative industry recruitment, talent management, HR and staffing. He is a board member for Portland Advertising Federation, and has worked closely with over 100 agencies up and down the West Coast and internationally on staffing and recruitment, internal talent management issues, growth strategies and building positive cultures. He’s worked as a copywriter, graphic designer, project manager, account manager, and was director of operations for Portland’s largest digital agency, bridging the dot com days. He drives a 1977 International Scout and will always stop to pet a Chihuahua.
